Call for Submissions (2017)

Virginia Social Science Journal
Volume 52 (2017) and Volume 53 (2018)

The Virginia Social Science Journal (VSSJ), a multi-disciplinary scholarly journal in the social sciences, is pleased to announce the theme for this coming year’s issue

People and Societies in Movement: Immigration, Migration, Refugees, and Internally Displaced Persons

The fifty-second volume of the journal recently invited submission of scholarly articles from any social science discipline (anthropology, economics, gender & sexuality, health, history, international relations, media studies, politics, policy studies, sociology) that speak broadly to people and societies in movement and address historical and contemporary issues related to social justice and human rights.

The journal, as always, also welcomes submissions on any subject.

All submitted manuscripts for the Virginia Social Science Journal are selected for publication through the double-blind peer review process.

The fifty-second volume of the journal will be published online in September 2017.

While the Volume 53 Call for Submissions is forthcoming, scholars are encouraged to submit manuscripts. Contact the VSSJ Editor, Dr. Sharon Foreman, with inquiries.
